I am well-aware The Bronx is ground zero for racially concentrated poverty – limiting access to opportunity.
I know NYS needs a comprehensive social safety net, from affordable health care and housing to quality education and job support and have taken action to make this happen.
The State government has the tools to lift millions of New Yorkers out of poverty and I have worked tirelessly with the aim to reach this goal. Whether it’s raising the minimum wage, having access to better-paying jobs, or reforming our State tax code to reach the needs of the lowest-income New Yorkers, I fight for New Yorkers.
